PRAYER AND FASTING
hmm, when you got a problem that is really huge.
as far as i know, prayer and fasting TOGETHER is one of the things you should do..
fasting is not the same as abstaining.
abstaining is (i dont eat pork)
fasting is ( i dont eat.PERIOD!)
you drink, yes... but no food.
and no tv.
basically, you pray AND fast at the same time. you dont go to SM and watch a movie while fasting.
If you don't know what to pray for.
Pray for the problem you want God to intervene.
after that,
pray for everyone that you know and for the problems they are struggling with.
that should keep you busy for the whole day...
TESTING VS. TRAINING
What is the difference?
When we are training, we learn the skills we need to pass the test.
When we are tested, we use what we learned in training.
Most people suffer difficult situations in their lives, losing a family member, a friend, a lover. Or losing material things, a job, education and other things.
How do we know if it is a test or are we being trained?
Ask yourself.
In your suffering, do you know what God wants you to do?
(If you know, then this is a test. You know what you are supposed to do, you are being tested if you are going to do it)
Or you have no idea what is going on?
If you are confused, lost, aimless maybe even suicidal. Hmm. EMO?
Then yes, this is a training.
God is trying to teach you many things.
Some examples.
He wants you to
learn to trust in him
pray
have patience
don't get angry
don't worry

Forgive people that you think responsible for your problem.
If you don't- you'll go to hell.
Sorry to say that, but God will NOT forgive you if you don't forgive them.

He may also want you to change priorities, values etc.
Maybe you think school is more important than anything.
Well. There are people in other countries who don't even know how to read and write.
Maybe you think a job is more important,
there are others who don't even have relatives who will help them temporarily.
Frankly. I don't believe God thinks the same way we do.
Many of the things we think are important are really going to do nothing for us when we die.
So. What is your goal in life?
To get to heaven?
To get other people to heaven?
or..
get money, get rich, get married, grow old, die?
- and then go to hell?
Sorry but there is no other choice.
You either live your life thinking that you own your life.
Or you live your life thinking that God owns your life.
If God owns your life,he will keep you.
If you own your life, God won't steal you.
Prioritize.
The easiest way to go through problems is to remember.
What happens when you die?
Does your current problem affect where you go when you die?
When the devil is trying to mess with your life, God is watching.
God is watching to see if you are going to act like God. With peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, generosity.
Or are you going to act like the devil?
Think about it.
The devil takes away your loved ones,
and you take away your life (suicide)
(remember that when you kill yourself, you also attack God.)- If you are God's child.. Then sucidie means you KILLED GOD'S CHILD.
But, then again. Satan comes to kill steal and destroy. Anyone who acts like satan is a child of satan (Jesus said something just like that)
so if you kill yourself.. you might have just acted like your father. satan.
hmmm...
ok I gotta go back to my review...
